Rally condemns killing of civilians by army

TURA, Dec 1 - A rally was held today in Kharkutta to protest against the killing of two civilians in Konchikol village in North Garo Hills by the army on November 25.

The rally also sought punishment of the guilty army personnel involved in the killing. The rallyists wore black badges as a mark of protest. The incident has sparked mass condemnation. The rally set a 15-day deadline for their demands to be met.

The rally was led by Garo Students Union (Interim body). The local Mla Cherak W Momin was present along with the local Mdc, Smith Momin at the rally.
