TURA, Jan 23 - Villagers in Rajabala in West Garo Hills came out in protest today after the brutal murder of a youth from the village last night.
The villagers later took out a rally demanding the strictest of punishment for the murderers.
According to police, Abdur Rahim Ali (29) was attacked with a sword by one Abu Taher. Rahim died of injuries, while another person, Anarul Islam sustained serious injuries. He was rushed to nearby Hatsingimari hospital where his condition is said to be critical.
�The matter was a case of personal enmity between the two. A case has been registered and we are doing our best to nab the culprit,� said SP, WGH, Dr MGR Kumar.
