GUWAHATI, Jan 5 � The Kamrup Metro district administration has started events under the Raijor Podulit Raijor Sarkar programme at different locations in the district.

In this phase which started on January 5, a total of seven gaon panchayats (GP) have been covered in the district.

The GPs are Kahikuchi and Dharapur under Rani block, Panikhaiti under Chandrapur block, Kamarkuchi, Hahara, Nartap and Digaru under Dimaria block.

Seven teams under the leadership of district level officers along with departmental representatives are holding the RPRS meetings in the afternoon, preceded by a series of activities like plantation, cleaning programme, visits to places like schools and anganwadi centres and interaction with citizens during the first half of the day.

Officials from the district administration including Additional DCs, DSOs and others are also taking part in the meeting.

The first two rounds of RPRS programmes were conducted on January 3 and today, with the last round scheduled for January 7.
