GUWAHATI, Dec 20 - The newly formed regional party Raijor Dal will hold its first state-level convention at Moran with a three-day schedule from January 7. The party leadership announced this on Sunday after the head office of the political party was inaugurated here by filmmaker Jahnu Barua.
Barua along with educationist Dr Ghanashyam Nath later unveiled the flag of Raijor Dal at a function held at the party head office. Meanwhile, the Satra Mukti Sangram Samiti held its central executive meet here on Sunday and decided to observe an anti-CAA week from December 23 to 31.
During the week, the student body will organise public meetings in protest against the CAA in different parts of the State.
