Rahul (203) helps Assam reach 363/7

TINSUKIA, Oct 25 - An unbeaten 203 off 332 balls by the left arm batsman Rahul Hazarika lifted host Assam to 363 for seven on the second day of the four-day U-13 Col CK Nayudu Trophy Cricket Tournament at the Katchujan Field here today. Resuming at the rain-truncated opening day�s score of 59 for the loss of four wickets, Rahul single-handedly rescued Assam with a strokeful innings. He hit as many as 21 boundaries in his maiden double ton in a BCCI tournament. Shuhel Rahman 58 and Jogeswar Bhumiz 35 not out were the other notable contributors for Assam.

State tennis coach grooms talents in Mumbai

GUWAHATI, Oct 25: Washim Raja, a lawn tennis coach from Guwahati has been successfully grooming young and upcoming talents in Mumbai. He appeared the ITF level-II exams and has already cleared ITF level-I and AITA level-IV fitness course and is presently coaching young talents like Kotistha Modak and Apurva Rokade at the Priyadarshini Park and Sports Complex, Napean Sea Road, Mumbai. Washim�s trainee Kotistha Modak has recently won the U-12 crown in the AITA Talent Series Championship held in Navi Mumbai, stated a release.
