Radha-Krishna Mandir inaugurated

GOSSAIGAON, Nov 29 - The newly-constructed Radha-Krishna Mandir was inaugurated by BTC Chief Hagrama Mahilary amidst great enthusiasm recently. The meeting held on the occasion was chaired by Gossaigaon Town Committee chairman and the president of the construction committee Dhruba Brahma Narzary.

Mahilary, in his speech, lauded the efforts of the construction committee. He also said that the formation of UTC was a rumour. Dr Kameswar Brahma, ex-president, Bodo Sahitya Sabha, BAC, the then Education Director, Jopendra Nath Narzary also spoke a few words. BTC, EM, Mrityunjoy Narzary, ex-MLA, Debojit Narzary and many other dignitaries also attended the religious meeting.

To mark the inauguration of the mandir, religious functions were held for four days. Secretary of the construction committee Manoj Prosad and Ratan Saha�s relentless efforts for the construction of the Radha-Krishna Mandir have been praised by all.

It may be mentioned here that the Dinabandhu Ashram at Gossaigaon was established in 1937 by a few noble minds belonging to Krishna consciousness movement. The then Ashram now has been turned into a Radha-Krishna Mandir with the donation of the people. Tapan Poddar, a young contractor has given the lion�s share for the expenses of the new mandir.
