Rabiram confident of beating Hagrama-led BPF

By Correspondent

KOKRAJHAR, March 31 The Bodo Peoples Progressive Front (BPPF) president and Peoples Coordination for Democratic Right (PCDR)-backed candidate Rabiram Narzary is very much confident of defeating Hagrama-led BPF in the BTC poll.

Talking to mediapersons here, Rabiram Narzary said that the people are already frustrated with the misgovernance of the BPF party in power and its acts of large-scale corruption, faulty administration and biased policies not only blocked development in the region but, at the same time, created disparities, inequalities and meted out injustice to several sections of the people.

Narzary alleged that a large section of the people have been deprived of their dues for which the BTC was created and now people are in favour of a change. PCDR, he added, is a party of as many as 13 different organisations and it is working hard to defeat BPF party in the BTC poll.

He further said that Hagrama Mohilary, during his last two terms, could not control the large-scale violence and ethnic clashes in two successive occasions. Only a few with vested interests have benefited in the last 10 years of BPF rule.

Narzary termed BPF a sinking boat and said that it can not escape from defeat this time while adding that PCDR is going to wash out the Hagrama-led BPF from the BTC like AAP wiped out the Congress rule in Delhi.

It may be mentioned here that like in the previous occasion this time too Rabiram Narzary is contesting from two BTC constituencies Parbatjhora and Banargaon in Kokrajhar under the banner of PCDR. In the last BTC election, he had won from the Parbatjhora constituency.

Meanwhile, PCDR has already launched a massive election campaign in several key areas of the BTC.
