GUWAHATI, March 14 - Surojit Academy in collaboration with Sangeet Natak Akademi will stage Champawati, a puppet show based on the acclaimed story of Sahityarathi Lakshminath Bezbaroa, on the occasion of World Puppet Day in the District Library auditorium at 5 pm on March 21.
The script of the play is by Simanta Sarma and direction by Binita Devi, a press release said.
Dr Amalendu Chakravarty, HoD, Bangla, Gauhati University will inaugurate the programme, while Manoj Baruah, Vice Chairman of the Assam State Agriculture Marketing Board and film director Shambhu Gupta will be the guests of honour.
