GUWAHATI, April 2 - The Sadou Asom Garia Maria Deshi Jatiya Parishad on Thursday urged the State government to initiate strict action against those who went into hiding after returning from the Nizamuddin Markaz in Delhi recently.
In a statement, executive president of the Parishad Nurul Haque said that by hiding these people have proved themselves to be enemies of the Assamese society and do not deserve any kind of excuse.
He said that under the present circumstances it is the duty of the local administration to initiate strict action against such persons and their families. He also appealed to the Assamese society to be strict against such people.
The Parishad also said that the Muslim community of Assam needs to help the local administration in detection of those who have recent travel history.
