By The Assam Tribune

SHILLONG, Jan 28 (PTI): Pune FC came from behind to hold Shillong Lajong 1-1 at the latters turf here in a keenly contested I-league match here today. It was Lajong FC who broke the ice with local favourite Seikhohou Tuboi scoring in the fifth minute.

Pune FC fought back and equalised in the 35th minute through a penalty when Lallawmzuala was called for an hand-ball offence inside the box.

Pune FC keeper Abhra Mondal was rushed to a hospital here after his ankle got injured a few minutes after Lajongs keeper, Lalthuammawia, had to be replaced in the 35th minute after an accident in the box.

Lajong could not capitalise even as four key players from Pune FC were missing in the line-up for double bookings.

Unbeaten for eleven matches so far, Pune FC coach Derrick Pereira said he was satisfied despite sharing points with Lajong.

I would have been happy to take three points but we are still happy to take home a point on an away match, Pereira said.
