ITANAGAR, April 22 - Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Kalikho Pul has appealed to the Centre to immediately sanction fund for upgrading the National Highway from Itanagar to Banderdewa to four-lane and for construction of three flyovers in the State capital.

The Chief Minister made this plea when the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways (MoRTH) Chief Engineer, NE region, VK Rajawat, called on him on Tuesday. He was on a days visit to Itanagar to inspect the ongoing repair and maintenance work of NH-415.

The Chief Engineer informed that the Centre has agreed to sanction the four-laning of Itanagar to Banderdewa highway project and three flyovers in the Capital Complex as proposed by the CM during his meeting with Prime Minister and Minister of Road Transport & Highways at New Delhi recently.

Rajawat informed that the project will be sanctioned within a months time after the DPR is received from the State Government which would enable the work to be started by September.
