IMPHAL, Jan 27 � The Youth Amateur Boxing Academy (YMBA), Nongada organised a felicitation-cum-reception programme today for the State boxers who won medals at the National Invitaion Rural Games held from January 14 to 18 at Delhi. State pugilists Leisangthem Doni Meitei (57 kg), Sapam Netapiyari Chanu (54 kg), Khaidem Deviya Devi (48 kg), Laishram Nilam Devi (60 kg), Thounaojam Dekichand Meitei (60 kg) clinched gold in their respective weigth categories while Feiroijam Meibrajit Meitei (50 kg) and Chingakham Surjit Singh (52 kg) bagged a bronze medal each, informed a statement issued by YMBA.

Medals in karate: Manipur clinched the first runners-up title winning 10 medals in the 6th Shobukai National Karate Champion-ship held at Margao, Goa, said a statement issued by Nishon Shito-Ryu Karate Do Shobukai. In the kumite event, S Johnson Singh clinched a gold medal, L Ichal Chanu, Y Surajkumar Singh, Lalchanba Luwang and H Nganthoiba bagged silver while A Ashalata Chanu and L Kabita Chanu won a bronze medal.
