GUWAHATI, Feb 19 � The 32nd edition of Petroleum Sports Promotion Board (PSPB) Inter Unit Bridge Tournament got off to a colourful start at Hotel Nakshatra here today.
Altogether 84 players from 16 oil sector units are taking part in the championship which has been organised by Oil India Limited (OIL). The participating units are � ONGC, IOCL (AOD), BPL, HPCL, OIL, IOCL. NK Agarwal, Resident Chief Executive, OIL, formally inaugurated the championship.
Inaugurating the meet, Agarwal said OIL has been organising different PSPB sporting events successfully and tried to provide the best possible hospitality. He hoped this time also the participating teams and players will get an ideal environment to show their best performance.
D Phukan, General Manager Pipeline Services, welcomed the teams in the inaugural function where RK Talukdar, Chief Manager (Admn), VK Sharma, chief tournament director, Tridib Duvarah, Manager PR&C), OIL were present as guests.
Noted singer Sangita Kakoti performed a welcome song in the function. All the participating players were introduced to NK Agarwal before start of the tournament.
