DIBRUGARH, March 21 - The city unit of All Dibrugarh Students� Union today staged a demonstration near Thana Chariali here in protest against the State government�s failure to nab Subodh Biswas, president of Nikhil Bharat Bangali Udbastu Samannay Samity (NIBBUS) and the alleged mastermind of the recent Silapathar violence, in which office of the AASU and a swahid bedi was vandalized.
The protesting students also attempted to parade a hanged effigy of NIBBUS president Subodh Biswas near Thana Chariali but the cops snatched away the effigy and the pole where it was hanged. The students� body warned the government that they would be compelled to organise further massive agitations if Subodh Biswas was not arrested and punished.
