GUWAHATI, July 14 - Tributes will be paid and several programmes organised in honour of Singhapurush Radha Govinda Baruah � the architect of modern Assam � on the occasion of his 41st death anniversary tomorrow. The RG Baruah Smriti Rakhya Committee will observe the occasion in Guwahati and Dibrugarh.
The Guwahati branch of the committee will organise a programme from 8 am tomorrow on the bank of the historic Dighalipukhuri, where the bronze statue of RG Baruah will be garlanded in the presence of his family members and admirers. A memorial meeting will also be held on the occasion.
The Dibrugarh branch of the committee will organise a tribute programme at Phool Bagan from 9 am where a number of eminent citizens will deliberate on the life and works of the iconic personality. The committee has sought cooperation from all the followers and admirers of RG Baruah on the occasion.
