Programme on traffic rules today

GUWAHATI, Aug 4 - Prodigy Communications & Marketing Pvt Ltd, as part of its CSR campaign �Alert Today Alive Tomorrow�, is organising a programme in the city tomorrow in association with Guwahati Traffic Police to sensitise and create awareness amongst the general public about traffic rules and regulations in order to reduce the risk of injuries and casualties that occur due to negligence every other day.

Prodigy launched the �Alert Today, Alive Tomorrow� campaign in 2015 and has turned it into an annual event. Talking about the campaign, Rupjyoti Kalita, ACP, Traffic said, �We at Guwahati Traffic Police Department are taking all measures to reduce the number of accidents caused by reckless and careless driving. I congratulate Prodigy on taking up this matter as their CSR campaign and extend our full support to the campaign �Alert Today, Alive Tomorrow�.�

The activity will begin at 9 am and get over by 1 pm. A customised setup will be organised at the busy intersection near Rajiv Bhawan, ABC point. A rally will be followed after the campaign is flagged off, with a gathering of around 250 participants on bikes and cars. The rally will cover Ganeshguri, RG Baruah Road, Chandmari, Silpukhuri, Guwahati Club and DGP office.

SM Group, Dura Roof, The Time Square, Terra Maaya, Annapurna, Big Fm, Apollo Hospital and Assam XBHP are partners in the campaign.
