GUWAHATI, Oct 8 - Cultural body Sur-Sandhan, in association with the State Directorate of Cultural Affairs, is organising a cultural programme at Rabindra Bhawan here on October 15 to mark the 38th death anniversary of noted artiste Jayanta Hazarika, according to a press release received here today.
On the occasion Sur-Sandhan will honour noted artiste Jagadish Baruah with the Jayanta Hazarika Sangeet Bota. In 2013 the award was given to late artiste Tarun Das, while in 2014 music director Romen Choudhury was honoured with the award.
