GUWAHATI, March 20 - Guwahati Baptist Church, the oldest Baptist church in the North East founded in 1845, is preparing a weeklong programme to commemorate Good Friday and Easter.
The programme will begin on March 25 at 9.15 am as Palm Sunday. This will be follwed by daily prayer meeting at 5.30 om till March 29 at the church at Panbazar. The Good Friday service will be held at the church on March 30 at 1.30 pm.
Sunrise service will be held on April 1 at 5 am in the Nabagraha graveyard. On the same day Easter service will be held at the church at 9.15 am.
During the weeklong programme, the leaders of the church will offer prayers for the sick and elderly members, stated a press release issued by A Haque, pastor of the church.
