Profulla Ch Borua cremated

GUWAHATI, May 7 � Veteran journalist Profulla Chandra Borua who died at the International Hospital here yesterday, was cremated at the Navagraha crematorium this morning in presence of a large number of mourners. The funeral pyre was lighted by his son Dr Pradip Borua.

Earlier, the Late Borua�s body was taken to the Media Trust Assam office, Rupnagar branch office of the Asam Sahitya Sabha, Guwahati Press Club and Swahid Nyas Bhawan. At all these places people in large numbers paid homage to the departed soul.

The veteran journalist�s funeral was attended by a large number of people from different walks of life, including many from the State�s journalist fraternity. Dainik Asam Editor Radhika Mohan Bhagawai, The Assam Tribune Editor PG Baruah, Nava Thakuria, Ajit Bhuyan, Rupam Baruah and Sanjib Phukan were among the mourners who attended the funeral.
