JALUKBARI, April 19 - The 2nd Professor M Taher Memorial Lecture commemorating the 86th birth anniversary of Late Dr Mohammed Taher, retired Professor and Head of Department of Geography, Gauhati University will be held on April 21 at Phanidhar Datta Seminar Hall, Gauhati University.

The programme will be attended by members of the geography fraternity, members of Gauhati University family, family members of Late Prof Taher and other well-wishers.

Dr Rana PB Singh, Retired Professor and Head, Department of Geography, Banaras Hindu University will deliver the memorial lecture on the topic, �Appraising the Indian cultural landscape: envisioning ecological cosmology in the 21st century�.

The programme will be inaugurated by Dr Mridul Hazarika, Vice-Chancellor, Gauhati University. The convener, Dr Bimal K Kar has invited all concerned to attend the lecture.
