GUWAHATI, June 1 - The District Magistrate of Kamrup Metro today directed Executive Magistrate Srabana Sonowal to carry out a probe into the death of Bishnu Prasad Singha, an inmate of the Guwahati Central Jail, who was found dead in the jail hospital as reported by the guarding staff on May 12.
By another order, the District Magistrate directed Executive Magistrate Bistirna Barua to carry out a probe into the death of another jail inmate Hafizur Rahman, who was found death in the jail hospital�s ward no 3 on May 15.
The District Magistrate directed submission of the findings of the probes within 15 days along with complete medical treatment records, health screening reports, post-mortem reports and viscera examination reports.
