GUWAHATI, April 10 - The news of Priyadarshini Chatterjee winning the Miss India 2016 title brought jubilation to Maria�s Public School, Guwahati, where she had done her entire schooling. While congratulating Priyadarshini, an elated founder and managing trustee of the school, Nellie Ahmed Tanweer, said Priyadarshini has brought glory to not only the State but also the entire northeast India as none of its gorgeous beauties has ever won this coveted title.
Principal of the school, Alpana Khound Phukan, said Priyadarshini would now be able to make use of the platform and her present status to address some burning issues of the nation.
Priyadarshini will represent India at the Miss World pageant to be held in December this year.
