AGARTALA, June 3 - President Ramnath Kovind would inaugurate the four-lane Agartala-Sabroom National Highway at a programme scheduled to be held at Udaipur in Gomati district on June 7, official sources said.
Soon after arrival at the Airport here on June 8, the President would be accorded a ceremonial guard of honour and will head for Udaipur. The President will offer prayer at Tripureswari temple, Udaipur and then address school students at Multicultural Complex of the temple.
To review the security arraignment, DGP AK Sulka accompanied by ADG SS Chaturvedi, Inspector General (IG) Law and Order KV Srijesh visited Chandrapur Mini Stadium where the President�s chopper will land.
A civic reception would be given to the President at Rabindra Satabarshiki Bhavan here in presence of Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb. Dy Chief Minister Jishnu Dev Varma and Mayor Dr Prafullajit Sinha will also remain present in the programme. The President will stay at Raj Bhavan and is scheduled to leave the State the following morning.
