DHEMAJI, April 29 � The people of greater Machkhowa area in Dhemaji are going to celebrate Rati Bihu on May 9 and 10 with a two-day programme at Bengenagarah Grazing Field.
In this connection a strong celebration committee with Ajoy Sarma as president, Jamini Koch as executive president, Rupjyoti Saikia as general secretary, Ajoy Phogla, Modan Dutta and Bolen Rajbongshee as vice-presidents, Sankarjyoti Saikia, Monjit Dutta, Depa Dutta and Malabika Saikia as assistant secretaries was formed in a meeting held recently and chaired by retired medical officer Dr Abani Kumar Saikia.
An editorial board was also formed with Gyan Gogoi as president, Kushal Phukan as editor and Dr Basanta Mangal Dutta as advisor for publication of Bohana, the souvenir of the Rati Bihu programme.
