GUWAHATI, April 7 - A pre-Rongali Bihu function was organised by Dr B Borooah Cancer Institute (BBCI), Guwahati in association with the GLP Social Circle here today.
The function was held at the BBCI auditorium, which was attended by cancer patients, staff of the Institute, invited guests and members from the public. On the occasion of World Health Day, the function was used as a platform to raise awareness on health and cancer among the audience from various walks of life.
Cultural programmes like Bihu dance and musical performances were organised during the function. Noted artistes performed in the event. Neel Akash, Jina Rajkhowa and Hiya Medhi enthralled the audience at the function. BP Saraf, managing trustee of Matri Mandir, was also felicitated on the occasion.
