DIBRUGARH, Jan 21 Prantor Baruah, golf captain of Dibrugarh & District Planters' Club, has been officially certified A category golf referee for India.

The world's golf governing body at Royal & St Andrews, Scotland, known as R&A, conducts rules examination in India in collaboration with Indian Golf Union (IGU) to create a pool of referees in the country. Baruah had first cleared their C level exam in Coimbatore last August and recently in Hyderabad he cleared both B and A levels.

And now with R&A IGU the new certificate he can professionally undertake any such assignments anywhere in the country and is eligible to referee in national as well as international tournaments held in India.
