GUWAHATI, June 27 � State athlete Pranjal Gogoi has been picked by the Athletics Federation of India (AFI) as a member of the Indian contingent for the 20th Asian Athletics Championship to be held in Pune from July 3 to 7.
Pranjal, the silver medallist in the last two senior national athletics championships, will compete in 1500m.
AFI also selected four officials from Assam to assist the technical team of the championship. The technical officials are � Pradip Nunisa, who is also the secretary of the State athletic body, Nipon Das, Diganta Saikia and Anita Guha Roy.
