GUWAHATI, Aug 31 - The National Power Training Institute, North Eastern Region, Guwahati, conducted a two-month long residential skill development training programme on Senior Lineman Distribution and Sub Station Attendant for SSC-passed ITI and diploma holders from July 2 to August 30, stated a press release issued here.
Altogether 90 unemployed youths of Assam participated in the training that was conducted in three batches. These programmes were allotted to the NPTI by the Assam Skill Development Mission under the Skill India Mission so that trained manpower is available in the State power sector.
The valedictory function of the programme held today at the NPTI conference hall was attended by Azad, Manager of ASDM, S Bhoumik, CGM of APDCL, J Borthakur, GM of APDCL, GM Das, former chief engineer ASEB and NPTI Officers.
