GUWAHATI, Jan 8 � Postal cracked a 90-run victory against host Gauhati Town Club in the first semifinal of the Ramesh Baruah Cricket Tournament here at the Judges� Field today.

Riding on a responsible 81 by Assam Ranji captain Gokul Sharma, Postal reached 244 for five in the stipulated 40 overs. Gokul faced 96 balls and hit eight boundaries and a six. Sujay Tarafdar and Pritom Das were the other notable contributors with 44 and 41 respectively. Gauhati Town Club batsmen found it tough to chase down the target and folded their innings at 154 in 34.5 overs. Ramkripal Gupta was their top scorer with 47 while Nayan Deka added 28.
