DERGAON, March 9 � 4th APBn Guwahati won the best team award for the second consecutive time in the 24th Assam Police Annual Sports Meet held at Dergaon Police Training Complex which concluded here today. Atanu Rabha of 13th APBn received the best athlete award in the men�s category with 4 gold and 1 bronze while Dipti Chutia of 10th APBn received the best athlete prize with 4 gold and 2 silver in the women�s category. Sarbananda Sonowal of 25th AP (ONGC)Bn was declared as the best footballer.

On the other hand, 25th AP ONGC Bn clinched the champions title in football defeating 7th APBn 2-0. In volleyball, 4th APBn of Kahilipara, Guwahati clinched the champions title defeating 23rd AP(IR)Bn 3-0. In kabbadi, 8th APBn Abhayapuri became champions defeating 14th APBn Doulashal, Nalbari. In the closing function, DGP Khagen Sarma was the chief guest and the welcome address was delivered by ADGP (TAP) Jyotirmoy Chakravorty. ADGP Rajib Sut, Dergaon MLA Arati Hazarika Kachari and other top police officials were also present.
