Police search house �owned� by Rakibul Hussain

NEW DELHI, June 1 - Continuing its probe, the Anti-Corruption and Vigilance Cell of the Assam Police today searched a house in Vasant Kunj allegedly belonging to former State Minister and Congress leader Rakibul Hussain.

According to sources, the Anti-Corruption and Vigilance Cell, which has been camping in the National Capital since Sunday, searched a property in C-5 Block of Vasant Kunj, allegedly belonging to Hussain. Yesterday, they had searched a house in DLF Phase 2 in Gurugram, also suspected to be owned by the former State minister.

Meanwhile, SP of Anti-Corruption and Vigilance Cell Pranab Goswami, who is heading the team, told newsmen here today that they have come to Delhi in connection with an ongoing inquiry. �We have searched some places in Delhi as we had done in Assam,� he said.

�It is in connection with the on-going inquiry that we have come to Delhi. We are verifying the inputs we have with us and conducting inquiry in Gurugram and Delhi,� Goswami said.
