KOKRAJHAR, Oct 22 - Along with rest of the State, the Kokrajhar District Police administration also observed the Police Commemoration Day in a befitting manner on Friday at Shyamgaon LP School premises under Kokrajhar police station with a day-long programme.
To mark the day, senior police and civil officials paid homage to the portrait of Khirmohan Brahma, martyr of Assam Police, at the school premises where the martyr had studied.
A felicitation programme to the martyr�s family was also held on the occasion.
It may be mentioned here that driver Havilder Khirmohan Brahma of Kokrajhar DEF who sacrificed his life for the cause of the nation on July 14, 1988 was a student of Shyamgaon LP School.
Addl DGP, Dr LR Bishnoi, Superintendent of Police, Kokrajhar, Rajen Sing, Deputy Commissioner, Kokrajhar, Bibekananda Choudhury and other senior civil and police officials also attended the programme.
