NAGAON, Sept 28 - Advocate Inamul Huda filed a complaint against the Hojai MLA Shiladitya Dev in the court of CJM Nagaon on August 29 last. Accordingly, a case was registered U/S 120 B, 153, 153 A, 295 A, 511 of IPC and Section 65 A of IT Act 2000 (case no. 784/2018). Advocate Huda had filed the case against the alleged controversial remarks about ongoing updating of NRC under the supervision of the Supreme Court.
Additional CJM Monalisa Das after hearing the counsel of both the parties passed an order on September 27 directing the police to investigate the matter properly and submit a report.
