GUWAHATI, Sept 24 - Well-known poet and literary critic Nalinidhar Bhattacharya, who was admitted to hospital on Tuesday, could be operated upon in the next 24 hours, doctors attending on him said.
Bhattacharya, 94, fractured his hip joint after he had a fall in his residence, following which he was taken to Nemcare Hospital.
Dr Hitesh Baruah of Nemcare Hospitals said, �Although, it is an operable case, approval from all the departments including cardiology and anaesthesia is a must. At the moment, his condition is stable.�
