IMPHAL, Dec 21 - Unidentified armed men shot a plumber when he was returning home at Nagamapal Nityainanda Leirak here around 6.30 pm.
The injured plumber identified as one Abhas Malik (34), a resident of Orissa, was rushed to Shija Hospital. His condition is said to be stable, according to hospital sources.
Chief Minister N Biren Singh has condemned the incident. He tabled a statement in connection with the incident during zero hour in the House today. He informed that the police has registered a case. Police have also picked up five suspects in this connection, he added.
