Plea for restraint in BTAD

GUWAHATI, July 28 � Several Dimasa organisations have made an appeal to all sections of the people of BTAD areas to maintain restraint for the sake of restoration of peace and amity in the trouble-torn areas.

The organisations, which include the All Dimasa Students� Union, Dimasa People�s Council, All Dimasa Women Forum, Dimaraji Mahila Somaj, Dimaraji Revival Demand Committee and the Dimaraji Khunang Hosom, said in their joint statement that the people of the BTAD areas should also mount pressure on the Government to beef up security measures for saving the life and property of the common people.

Dilip Nunisa, chairman of the Dima Halam Daogah has expressed deep concern over the violent incidents taking place in the BTAD areas.
