By Staff Reporter

GUWAHATI, June 7 - Momor Ghar-The Wax House, the tenth production venture of Zerifa Wahid Production, will be staged on June 9 and June 10 at the Madhabdeb Auditorium of Srimanta Sankaradeva Kalakshetra here.

Directed by Avinash Sharma, the play has been written by noted playwright Himandra Kumar Barthakur. The play will be staged in collaboration with the Srimanta Sankaradeva Kalakshetra Society under the aegis of the Ministry of Culture.

Along with actress Zerifa Wahid, who plays a housewife in the play, the cast includes Kapil Bora, Mintu Baruah and Ranjan Sarma among others.

According to play director Sharma, the play was written several years ago, but the theme of the play still holds its relevance and the audience would be able to identify themselves with the thrust and mood of the plot. It is amazing to work on a story which was written with such farsightedness, Sharma said.

According to Zerifa Wahid, the play, apart from being entertaining, also tries to touch issues concerning the society at large.

Actor Kapil Bora says that the play is a take on peoples individualistic and self-centric approach, which leads to severe identity crisis in society.

The production house also informed that the entry to the play is free for the audience.
