GAURIPUR, Oct 13 - The platinum jubilee celebration of Jagamohan Vidyapith, Golakganj, one of the pioneer institutions of co-education in the western part of the State in Dhubri district bordering the Assam-Bangladesh border is scheduled to be held with a three-day colourful programme from November 7.

On the first day, besides hoisting of the school flag by NN Ray, president of the celebration committee, there will be smrititarpan, tree plantation, cultural procession, opening of exhibition and lighting of lamps in the evening. On the second day, programmes on friendly meet with the new and old students, releasing of the souvenir Jeuti by journalist AN Sharma, felicitation of the ex-teachers and the meritorious students, symposium on �importance of moral education� to be conducted by Prof A M Md Oman, retired principal, PB College, Gauripur and cultural evening are scheduled to be held.

On the concluding day, there will be exchange of ideas among the parents in open sessions and cultural events. A number of dignitaries from the district and outside are expected to grace the occasion. The president of the celebration committee has invited the ex-students to participate in the programmes.
