Mars at its closest to Earth

Mars also known as the red planet was at its closest to Earth on November 30.

The astro-photographer Andrew McCarthy released the breath-taking photo of the northern polar ice cap present on the surface of Mars.

The northern polar ice cap is made mostly of water ice.
