Photo journalists' exhibition on Bhupenda

GUWAHATI, Feb 11 � The Assam Photo Journalists� Association (APJA), in association with Oil India Ltd, is organizing a five-day photo exhibition �Dr Bhupen Hazarika in Images� to pay homage to Dr Bhupen Hazarika. �

APJA has unanimously decided to hold an exhibition showing various aspects of the life of the great maestro who was so close to every photo journalist and was ever ready to give a special pose whenever a photographer approached him. Thus it was decided to pay a tribute to him with the medium APJA members are best used to i.e. the camera, displaying his photographs through a photo exhibition, a press release stated.

Various aspects of Dr Hazarika�s life, be it as a legislator, a writer, composer, singer, director, producer or a father or a friend, that have been captured by various photographers at different times and places will be showcased exhibition.

The APJA and its members have requested the members of the public to come forward and share their photographs with the people of the State through this photo exhibition scheduled to be held at the State Art Gallery from May 18 to 23.

The contributions from the public will be displayed with full credits to the photographer or the person giving the photographs for this exhibition.

The photographs can be emailed to [email protected] with details about the photograph and of the photographer, including contact number.

The photographs can also be given personally to the organizing committee at the Guwahati Press Club, Ambari premises.

The last date for submitting the photographs will be�April 30�and the decision of the selection committee will be abiding on all.
