GUWAHATI, Dec 1 - World Philosophy Day was observed at Pandu College here today.
Organised by the Department of Philosophy of the college, the programme was dedicated to two prominent philosophers of the last century, Bhabananda Dutta and Debiprasad Chattopadhyaya, 2018 being their birth centenary year.
The lives and works of the two thinkers, especially their contribution in exploration of the materialistic trends of ancient Indian philosophy, were fondly remembered.
The annual lecture of the Pandu College Philosophical Society was also organised on the occasion. The lecture titled �Radhanath Phukan and Samkhya Philosophy�, was delivered by well-known scholar, mathematician and writer Prof Dilip Kr Sarma. The lecture was followed by enthusiastic interactions on the subject among the students and teachers present, a press release said.
