NEW DELHI, July 23 - The Supreme Court today referred a petition filed by Congress MLAs Kamalakhya Dey Purkayastha and Nurul Huda to the Chief Justice of India for further action.
The duo had challenged the order not to include the descendents of �D� voters and foreigners in the National Register of Citizens (NRC).
A Bench of Justice Arun Mishra and Justice A Abdul Nazeer after hearing the counsel of the petitioner said that as a similar matter is already being heard by a Bench headed by Justice Ranjan Gogoi, it was referring the case to the Chief Justice of India for a final decision.
