People will vote to save Assam: Dr Mahendra Singh

By Correspondent

SILCHAR, Dec 27 - The BJPs observer for Assam, Dr Mahendra Singh has said that unlike the previous elections of choosing a government, the 2016 Assembly election in the State will be the one to save Assam and people will cast their votes eyeing to put the State on the track of development.

Dr Singh who is in Silchar ahead of the visit of External Affairs Minister, Sushma Swaraj on December 27 while interacting with the media said The political scenario of Bihar and Assam are largely different. People here are disgusted with the fake promises of the Congress party headed by Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi. The biggest factor ahead of the electorates to consider is how to save Assam from the continuous deterioration in terms of development. Despite being blessed with natural resources, the State stands on the 29th slot thanks to the rampant corruption. In contrast to the earlier patterns of putting a government to power, people in the forthcoming elections will vote to save the State, Dr Singh claimed.

Dr Singh ridiculed Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi saying there is no better liar than our Chief Minister and if there are any Olympics for the sport of lying, Gogoi will emerge as a gold medal winner.
