JALUKBARI, Jan 8 - The Statewide bandh called by the All Assam Students Union (AASU) in protest against the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2016, today left passengers stranded at the Lokapriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport (LGBIA) for hours due to non-availability of taxis and cabs on the airport premises.

Bollywood actor Naseeruddin Shah, who is on a visit to Tezpur, was also stranded at the airport for more than two hours.

Tyres were burnt in Azara, Dharapur areas by AASU members to prevent movement of vehicles in the morning. Despite the bandh, however, there was no delay and cancellation of flights.
