By Staff Reporter

GUWAHATI, Aug 31 - Passenger train services between the Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) zone and the rest of the country will resume on September 2.

While the goods train service resumed on August 29 after the restoration of Bridge No.133 in the Telta-Sudhani section in Bihar, work is going on in full swing at the site for completion of balance work and further relaxation of speed. As only the Up line has been restored and traffic in the section is plying at the restricted speed of 10 MK per hour, the authorities have decided to go in for gradual introduction of passenger services from September 3 on that stretch, said Pranav Jyoti Sharma, Chief Public Relations Officer (CPRO) of NFR.

As per the timetable prepared by the Railways, some passenger trains will resume operating from September 2. These trains will start from their stations of origin on September 2 and start passing through the Telta-Sudhani section from the next day.

The 12423 Rajdhani Express will depart from Dibrugarh Town on September 2, while the 12424 Rajdhani Express will start from New Delhi on the same day.
