Parthapratim of Tihu tops HSLC examination

TIHU, May 31 - The entire Tihu area in Nalbari district erupted in joy as Parthapratim Bhuyan of Jatiya Vidyalaya of Tihu secured the 1st position in the HSLC Examination.

He scored 589 marks in total out of 600 with an aggregate of 98.1 per cent. He is the son of Dr Manoj Kumar Bhuyan and Kalpana Choudhury of Tihu town.

Parthapratim said that sincerity and regular study helped him to excel in the examination. He added that he wants to be a space scientist. Further, he wished to study at the NPS International School, Guwahati.

Parthapratim scored 98 in Assamese, 97 in English, 100 in General Science, 97 Social Science, 97 General Science and 100 in Advance Maths. It may be mentioned here that in 1971 Khagen Sarma, ex-DGP of Assam secured 1st position from Tihu High School.
