GUWAHATI, Nov 19: Playing a splendid brand of tennis Parikshit Somani reached the finals of both singles and doubles events of the ongoing ITF World Ranking Junior Tennis Championship at All Assam Tennis Association complex, here.
It is for the first time that a player from Assam reached the final of an ITF tournament.
In the singles final Parikshit will lock horn with Sanil Jagtiani of India. In the semifinals played today, the 5th seed Parikshit upset 3rd seed Udayan Bhakar and 4th seed Sanil caused a major upset by defeating the top seed Dhruv Sunish of India.
The Girls singles final will start at 8:30 am on Friday followed by Boys singles final at 9:30 am informs Tournament Director Ankush Dutta.
