GUWAHATI, April 2 � Chiranjita Bharali, who won gold medals in 100m and 200m in the recently held 15th National Para Athletics Championship at Ghaziabad, was accorded a warm felicitation by the BJP Sports Cell, Assam Pradesh on Tuesday.
The Sports Cell team of BJP Assam Pradesh comprising of Bishov Lal Pathak, State convener, Vinita Singhi, Guwahati District Convener and Amal Deka visited her at the Youth Hostel and honoured her in a traditional way. The young girl from Lakhimpur, Chiranjita was the only female participant from Assam in the championship and is the first gold medallist ever from Assam in the respective events, stated a release.
