NEW DELHI, April 26 - The appointment of chairman-cum-managing director of Oil India Limited (OIL) is likely to be a long drawn affair, as the search panel has recommended a panel of names to the Centre.

The interviews for the selection of a candidate for the post of CMD, OIL, lying vacant since July 1, 2015, was conducted on Monday, by a selection board specially appointed for the purpose.

As many as 14 candidates including six IAS officers were short-listed for the interview.

Sources said that a panel of names has been short-listed and forwarded to the Department of Training and Personnel and Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas.

Replying to a question, sources said that final appointment is likely to take some more time.
