SUALKUCHI, Oct 9 � Preparations are on to celebrate the three-day golden jubilee celebration of Pachariya Kushal Knowar High School, one of the leading secondary schools in Sualkuchi and Hajo areas from October 10.

Meanwhile, a celebration committee with Haladhar Deka, retired headmaster of the school was formed. The three-day celebration will start with the flag hosting by the president of celebration committee at 8 am which will be followed by tribute to the martyrs by Gopal Chandra Kalita, general secretary of the celebration committee and by Dibakar Kalita, advisor, Kamrup district, AASU.

At 9 am Dhiren Bharali, founder secretary of the managing committee of the school will offer floral tributes to the people who rendered a good zeal of services in establishment of the school. A cultural procession will be flagged off by Tanu Ram Kalita, former headmaster of the school. At 6 pm illumination programme will start to make the beginning of the celebration. A cultural function will be held at night on that day.

On October 11 the alumni meet will be held with Dr Sarat Chandra Deka in the chair. At 3 pm a seminar on �The future of the secondary school of vernacular in the contact of present time� will be held where Dr Dayananda Pathak, retired principal Pragjyotish College will conduct the seminar and will be participated by Dr Dinesh Baishya educationist and Dr Upendrajit Sarma professor Dhubri College.

On the concluding day the newly constructed gate will be inaugurated by Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma, local MLA. The open meeting will be held at 10 am with Haladhar Deka in the chair. Bijaya Chakraborty MP will take part in the meeting. The souvenir will be released by Hrishikesh Goswami, secretary Assam Sishu Sahitya Nyas. Nitumoni Saikiya, editor, News Times, Megharanjani Medhi, film actress and Prakash Chandra Das will attend the meeting as the guest of honour respectively.
